Katie Morgan Lester grew up on a South Carolina farm and graduated from Furman University with a degree in studio art. She works with many different types of art mediums, but her favorites to work with are illustrations and children’s décor. In her spare time, Katie loves fitness, especially cardio kickboxing and mud races. Katie lives in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, with her husband, Mark & their son, Brandon.
All 4 books are rhyming stories written by Katie & watercolor illustrations she made by hand.
Picky Pig Pete is Katie’s first children’s book, inspired by Brandon, a picky eater just like she was as a child. His favorite meal, of course, is PB&J. It teaches kids to try something new.
Raymond the Rooster is Katie's second children's book. It is inspired by her parents' farm rooster & dog & is a message about friendship & inclusivity.
Gracie the Goat is Katie's third children's book. It is inspired by her family farm's pet goat & is a message about learning to be a good listener.
Coco the Cow Has Lost Her Moo is Katie's fourth children's book. It is inspired by her family farm's pet cow & has a lesson that expressing feelings is okay!
